SikoraArts
is a private organization interested in the promotion of art and other cultural and intellectual endeavors, for the purpose of maintaining conversation among creative minds – that is, for the sake of art.
SikoraArts
Gallery
is a new art space that would like to focus on the promotion and valorization of American Abstractionism, interesting itself in artworks that follow the footsteps of the Abstract masters such as Alexander Calder, Robert Motherwell, Jackson Pollock, Ellsworth Kelly, Agnes Martin, John Diebenkorn, etc. SikoraArts Gallery
wants to dedicate its primary activity to presenting a type of art that challenges the viewer with the most varied form of media, maintaining a dynamic attitude towards chromatic vibration and luministic inquiry. In addition, SikoraArts Gallery
will engage in forceful and purely cultural endeavors at regular intervals organizing exhibitions and artistic reviews in its new art space at 1010 McLean Road.
SikoraArts
Gallery
dedicates great energy and insight to the rediscovering and relaunching of the true
avant-garde movements of Kinetic, Programmed and Optical art, establishing direct, often exclusive relationships and dealings with non-representational abstract artists. This project, maybe the first one in Cortlandville, has been enthusiastically recognized by both critics and the market in the European new millennium.
Our venue is dedicated to distinguishing those movements and artists that the art world has finally acknowledged and now celebrates, but it is also committed to promoting innovative talent and worth.
** SikoraArts Gallery
is a venue for local artists to display their artwork. Given that SikoraArts
Gallery
is part of an organization for nonprofit and that the space at 1010 McLean Rd. is funded privately by a “mecenas” (private patron) --interested only in promoting art and culture in the County of Cortland (particularly in Cortlandville), SikoraArts
Gallery
will have monthly displays of art; however, any person interested in purchasing the art displayed at the venue may contact the displaying artist directly at their private web page or email.
SikoraArts
Gallery
will not be involved in the sale of the art displayed; nor will it charge any percentage fee on the sales that could occur due to the exhibit of an artist at their venue
